We just got a minature pinscher a couple of months ago. (male) and he is a handful.... CUTE AS A BUTTON THOUGH and all of 10 lbs if that..

Crate training isn't that bad, my hubby is in the military and I work and go to school. We got Chico trained, still have a couple of accidents a month because he is a puppy still, but other than that he sleeps through the night and can hold it for 5-8 hours.

CONGRATS on your new puppy! Hopefully you get good news on Tuesday!

I love the min pins....but they have an undercoat so they shed. My co-worker has one and he is SWEET as all out ~and dressed cute all the time~ but she talks about how he sheds....I can't do shedding....we will be sneezing and nostril burning like crazy LOL

I had a lil dog before...minpin. Cute dog, them lil dogs need so much attention. But since you have kids you'll have someone to give it to them. I have a boxer. This is the best dog in the world. Got him for free from the Boxer rescue league. Drove for an hour, she had like 15 dogs there. We got to have time with all of them to pick out which one we wanted. We actually went back twice to make sure he was the right one. The lady actually drove an hour to see OUR house...make sure we had ample room and a fenced in yard. They don't play. He was not trained but it only took 2 months to fully train him. We live in a 3 level house and he has the run of the whole house when we go to work. NEVER went in the house since trained and its been over a year. Boxers are also GREAT with kids.

Here's Remi......sticking his tongue out LOL

Hi Remi!!  Shani I swear he is the most adorable, muscular, manish dog I've ever met.  And he gives good hugs!!!

We've never done the extensive dog shopping thing.
We have basically bought our dogs on impulse.  Always male dags.  I'm the only bleading ****** in this house.  Can't have 2 of us
Jon played with Loki our Siberian Huskey, in the pet store.  After they hung out for about 15 minutes Loki did not want to go back into his pen.  He was like oh well I guess he's gotta go home with us.
Jon saw a Lab breader on Craig's List who was in MD.  Called them and went right out to pick up Vader - our Black Lab.  We've always had BIG Dogs.  The kind that live outside or in the pen in the basement.  I don't believe in a dog having free reign to the house.

Good luck on your search DeDee.  I know the girls will love the new baby whenever you get him.
Peace & Blessings,   Sharon

I feel you on the dog search...but we settled on a white ****apoo....so now we have a Lhasa Apsa and a ****apoo. I really wanted a TeddyBear (THEY ARE SOOOO CUTE) but my son fell for the ****apoo instead...and she is getting on my damn nerves. We have had her for about 4 months and she is the cryingest damn dog I have ever seen. She cry if you leave her...she cry if you don't pick her up...she cry if my other dog leaves her....HELL SHE JUST CRYS!
