The ones in the picture gets up to 15-18lbs. They judge by the parents and previous litters.

The parents are Toy poddles and mini schnauzers.

Girl don't I know about the doggie shopping, I was about to give up until I found "Rex" on craigslist.. We had to drive about an hour and a half to find him but he was worth the drive... ... Our problem was opposite of yours, we only wanted a male puppy and almost everyone were selling females.....

Just so you know, malteeses are VERY hard to house break. Mine is crate trained too, an adult, and still pees and poops on the floor if she is no****ched like a hawk, or is wearing a diaper. So...yeah. Very loveable though, shes my little sidekick . I adopted her though, so I don't know how whoever had her when she was a puppy tried to housetrain her. But I have researched and a lot of people say they are the hardest to train. Have you thought about adopting? Maybe from a rescue or somewhere instead of buying from a breeder? Try petfinder.com

Most adoptions here say there are skeptical about placing dogs in homes where there are small children. I have to know where my dog comes from....I have had several and always went through a breeder. ~german shepard (Princess), chow-chow (Pepper), Mutt (Suzie).....mixed Rot and Doberman (Sheba)....always meet the parents in order to judge their temperment.

Hello Dedee,

I often hear there is nothing like the feeling you get when your dog comes running up to you when you get home.  One of these days I will...probably when the 16 year old goes to college because my arse will be lonely with no one here.
