My name is Jack and I had R & Y surgery in July of 08. I started out at 410 pounds plus and at this date I am 272 pounds, we are only 23 pounds from our first set goal or milestone. I am not sure I will want to get much smaller as I don't know how I will look being real skinny. I am a big boned kind of guy and I like that it worked for me when I was a young man. Now that I am 51 and will be 52 in Jan 09 I don’t want to have that skinny old man look. Working out and lifting weights is the only way I think I can achieve my desire to look better then I dad when I was in the service only just a little older… LOL

Hey Jack

Welcome to BAF.   It's a pretty cool place,  it is a bit slow on the weekends but on the week days it is fast and furious and very fun.

Congrats on your surgery and your lost sounds like you are off to a great start.
