We had surgery on the same day!

I have a lot of protein shake recipes. Send me your email address of the BL and I'll pass them on. Today is my first day on shakes. The recipes made it very easy to get the protein in.

Make sure you are taking calcium citrate and I think viactive is calcium caltrate. That is crucial. When I was a new post op, I ordered samples from vitalady.com, she sells many different samples for $1.99 a packet and allows you to try different kinds of protein powder. I use Whey protein powder from Walmart now and it's about $13.00. I did order the unflavored Unjury and that lasted a long time for me because I would put it in different things, such as soup, yogurt and pudding. I think that GNC carries an unflavored protein powder as well. Just remember anytime that you add protein powder to something hot that you should put the powder in a little cup and add just enough cold water to make a thin paste and gradually add to hot cocoa or whatever other wise it will clump up and be really gritty and not fit to drink.

I feel you on getting the protein in.  So I had to be creative.  I use Whey protein (32g) from Walmart-one scoop with cinnamon in my coffee in the morning, then I drink a half  ISOPURE from GNC- add Crystal light Lemonade to tast for my first snack and the other half for my afternoon snack.  They have 40g of protein.  So by the time dinner rolls around I already have 72g in.  My problem is adding in some other fluids or water to get to 64 oz.  But the shake recipes that Wonka D has are very helpful.  I just ordered some samples from Vitalady
