OT: Gwinnett County or surrounding areas

Good Morning BAF!!!

It seems as if I haven't posted in years. Glad to see so many new pre-ops and post-ops.

I am coming to BAF for some info.

My family and I are relocating to Georgia at the end of July and wanted to know how the job market is there? Several members of our family has said that the companies that they work for has openings but we don't want to really depend on them.

Any info would be so helpful.

As of this morning the unemployment rate is the highest it's been in 25 years.  It is expected that another 1/2 million jobs will be lost next month.  When I do see openings they tend to be paying an offensively low amount of money.  On the other hand, I also know a few people who have found good jobs recently so it's really a hit or miss situation right now.

THe job market is very poor down here unless you are a Nurse, TEacher, Licensed Counselor, School Counselor, Phlebotomist, Accountant, Bankruptcy Professional, etc. Its very difficult but that doesn't mean that there isnt' a position here waiting for you.
