Well I came home  last  night.  Thank all of you who emailed or called me, it truly brightened my day yesterday.  I had my surgery on the 15th.  There were no complications and I am now home about to walk to try to get rid of these gas pains.  I am a little sleepy and tired but I know this will pass.  If anyone has any suggestions on how to get rid of the gas it will be greatly appreciated.   I  am going to go for a walk around the house.  I am a bit of pain, really discomfort but know it will be worth it in the end.  I'm on the loser's bench now and nothing is going to stop me!  Take care BAF family.
My goal 135; current 132;  pre-op highest 285; I have lost more than I weigh...  I my RNY!

Welcome to the loser's bench Erica.  Sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk.

Glad to see you back!  Hot liquids helped to get rid of the gas pains, and Simethicone Drops or Gas - X Extra Strength (check with your surgeon).

Get plenty of rest!

Glad to hear you've made it home and your surgery was uneventful.  Gas-X strips works wonders for the gas.  I took it while still at the hospital.

Best wishes on your journey!

Welcome to the club Erica! Gas X strips works wonders. Have someone go out and get you some. Good Luck! Don't over do it at first. Take your time and if you are sleepy, take a nap. You are on your own time. Just try to get in as much fluids as you can.
