So Blessed!
on 12/17/08 2:39 am

A senior citizen organization sent me a card notifying me that someone had made a donation to them in honor of me.  I’m not exactly sure how to word a thank you note to the giver.

Any ideas?

How about this?

I would like to thank you for your donation to the (senior citizen organization) which was given on my behalf.  Your generosity is very much appreciated by me and will serve (sco) very well in their efforts to provide invaluable services to our seniors.  Thank you again and Happy Holidays to you.

You're very welcome. It maybe necessary to tweak it to your liking.

Hello Doug,

No, I don't.  However, I've been told that I have a way with words and I have family members as well as friends that come to me all the time to do their resumés, letters, plan their events etc.  I do actively fundraise for various charities, chamber of commerce and city events.  This requires me to do quite a bit of public speaking and thanking.
