Okay,

I'm trying to put up a new Avatar but I can't figure this mess out for NOTHING......it keeps telling me that my pics must be 20,000 bytes or less, help me out good people!

The easiest way to do it is to upload it to another site (i use PhotoBucket) and then just post the link in the little box.

You need to shrink the pic down to 100 x 100 pixels, save it like that, then download it to OH

If you upload it to your pics on OH you can copy and paste the link that's over on the right hand side of th epage when you have the pic up. Then paste it in the avatar box- from another website.

Just open the picture that you want to use in Paint (under Start _>Accessories) and shrink it down by 25 x 25 (or 50 x 50****il it "fits" in OH.

If you use Microsoft Picture Manager to edit your pic, go to Pictures on the menu bar, drop down to compress pictures, and then select the compress for webpages option on the pop up menu. That should do it for sure.
