Yall know her,  The outspoken feminist from the 70's sporting her big afro and looking georgeous as she raised her fist in the air.   The black panther queen, the communist party member, The outspoken sister that became a hero to many.  Well did you all know she is a lesbian.  

I happen to mention it to some people yesterday and they dam near fell off their chairs in disbelief.   Like her being gay makes her any less powerful.

The point is there are many people that don't know and it changes their view of her when they find out.   One of the guys I told says....ah hell nah, not fione ass Angela Davis 

 eh...  If she's gay; she's gay.  What's the big deal?  Just because she's gay is supposed to mean that she's less of a leader?  Nah.  I can't see that logic, Playa.  One of my favorite female singer/performers is gay - Me-Shell Ngdenocello (can't ever quite spell her friggin' name without looking at the dang CD covers) and I never think to myself, "Oh she'd be so much more popular if she weren't gay."

Face it.  Some people are just stupid.
