Morning, Miguel!
Protein does keep the hunger at bay for me. I do remember some of the "vets" saying it aided in keeping their hunger at bay early out. However, the further out from surgery, they noticed the hunger returned.
Caffeine does not keep the hunger at bay for me. It helps keep me...well...uh....
I didn't think the Vanilla protein was gonna mix well with the latte. You know I don't understand how you drink cold coffee anyway!!!
I know you tried a ready-to--drink shake and didn't like it, but I forgot to ask you if you tried to mix one yourself. If so, how was it?
I am so proud you haven't given up trying to find what works best for you. It's out there....I promise!!!

Hi Michael
I am a new post-op but I had posed a question about protein coffe. A suggestion I recieved was IDS-Whey powder protein (Vanilla/Cinnamon). Mix the powder in about 4-6 oz of water then add your coffee to it. The trick was adding the hot to the cold and not vice versa (keeps the lumps out). But for cold coffee I am not sure if it will help. The taste is pretty good. For me right now it is helping to keep the hunger attacks down. And I use decaf coffee.
