Thanks Cleo. There are hospitals right here that I WILL not go to!!!! MX doesn't look too bad it's just the distance that gets me with that. I feel that you have to research any thing that you do. Especially when it involves life or death. I don't think that most people have done the research that I have done (lol). I have been following some people for years. I do know that evryone is different but it pays to get candid information from people that have had the experience.
The question that I am asked most often:
Is that your hair??????

Hi Kenya
gurl you've been through it and you'll get through it, trust. i would keep fighting with insurance as well, i woulda fought tooth n' nail if i qualified but i knew i didn't. i'm a single mom of one child and i went to mexico alone - I wasn't scared about that because i chose a surgeon who was educated in the u.s. and i didn't think God had brought me this far to leave me here and now. that having been said cir****tances woulda been different if cigna covered me, i definitely would've stayed closer to home b/c in an airport is the last place i wanted to be a day after surgery and kept more of my loot if i had the option. given the same level of your doctor's skill, education and experience, surgery isn't riskier in mexico, it's cheaper.

I wouldn't get a dayum splinter taken out of my foot in another country, especially not Mexico! I once saw a documentary on TV where there was a guy who had been using illegal steroids for a while to try and bulk up for weightlifting competitions and ended growing actual breasts. Naturally, he wanted them removed. He figured he would go the cheap route and have the procedure done in Mexico. The "doctor" he ended up with used the type of anesthesia to knock him out that a veterinarian would use on cats or dogs because it was cheaper. (Real talk; no BS!!!) The patient kept waking up during the procedure and the doctor had to "up the dosage" in order for the patient to go back under again. When all was said and done, the patient walked away all hacked up looking, severly depressed, and gangrene had set in on some of his wounds. He would have done better going to a meat market butcher or a voodoo high priestess.
Stay out of Mexico for surgical procedures, BabyGirl. Don't get discouraged.

I understand what you are saying. I live in GA and there have been many cases of folk practicing without a license. Illegal substances being used for cosmetic procedures...etc. There is risk in everything that you do. We, well I, just hope and pray that the people that I deal with will be on the up and up. Thank you so much for your response. If I do decide to go the MX route, I will make sure that it is with someone who has an excellent professional reputation.

KENYA, I agree with everyone else I would join the program in April and continue to FIGHT my insurance company. I am not 2 keen on the mexico thing I guess I would have to talk to someone who has actally been there, and hear their take on what happened to them...good luck
Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely who others think you are!
