Hey everybody. I am 4 years post-op. I want, no I need anyone to help me with dealing with symptoms I am still having. I still have the embarrassing gurgling from my stomach. It happens approx 30 min after I eat or drink anything. I still get lightheaded  and weak if  I don't eat right away. I have to get iron injections once a month because my iron is very low. I am getting depressed because I am gaining weight again. I know what I need to do, but I can't seem to get motivated to exercise. I have moved from Illinois ot Ohio and I haven't made any friends yet, so I keep to myself. I am not having a pity party. I am so blessed and thankful for all that I have. I think I just lost my focus and need a little encouragement.
Anyone have any advice?

Once you find a surgeon in your new area see if they have monthly/weekly meeting to get you back in the swing of things and a little extra support and you may even make a friend. You need to see your PCP about your depression . But you look good girl!

I am 3-years new to Cinci-Metro area...you are about 3.5 hours from me....I am over 5 years out.

Don't have the gurgling.....but if I do not eat, I will get dizzy and light-headed. My doc said it was a drop in blood sugar....keep peanut crackers or peanut butter with you at all times!

I, too, am anemic. eat green leafy veggies daily if you can (spinach, turnip, collards...etc.)

Though I am cutting back on Beef....I cannot stop it due to my iron....so try to eat beef once a week.

Liver is also good for you and cook in an iron-cast skillet!

I focus not on my disabilty; my focus is on my ABILITIES.

I try to eat meat first before anything, but I would get full very fast. I would sit for about 30min then

try eating again. I don't get enough green leafy veggies in daily. Thanks for the advice. Now the

liver, I'm gonna have to pass. I never liked it as a kid and I won't eat it now.
