Endoscopy?!?!?!

Am I panicing for no reason. I am pre-op and am having this done in the morning...What should I expect?

 They are going to get you changed into a gown and draw some blood, and then the doctor will come in and you go nighty night  next  thing you know they will be shaking you telling you to wake up.

God Bless you tomorrow ask them if you have the need to know. and the other poster got it right about the time they start taking the blood the start putting you to sleep. Next thing you know they are calling your name waking you up.

Gurrrl nothing to it, just lay back and enjoy the high cause that stuff that they give right before putting you under is top notch.

You wont feel a thing, they will have you to change into a gown and right before you go out they will have you to bite down on the mouth tube. The second that your teeth clamp down you will be waking up in recovery.

Unlike so many others i had to have it done while i was awake because i was already on morfin and had been all day. but mine wasnt preop, i got sick with an infection after surgery and the endoscopy was routine. the gas was horrid. I was misirable. but you should do great their going to put you under

I have an upper GI endoscopy last on 12-05-08. It's nothin 2 worry about. it basically pain free as posted b4....they gave me an iv w/meds, told me to say ahhhh & I woke up in recovery....NO WORRIESSSS!
