Sunday dinner......... food ***** time people!!!!!

LMAOO!!!!!  It cracks me up how folk be LOOKING for this post every week - and know you just wanna read the descriptions and shiot...... LOL  I am hoping Dalexis posts some of his Rachel Ray type shiot........ hahahahahha!!!!

As for what I am cooking - LORD only knows!!!!  I am tired as all get out, gotta go shopping so I am not in a cooking or thinking about cooking mood.  I know I will go by Sam's so I may pick up one of their rotesserie chickens - I can eat on that this week.  I have several freezer items that I may just coast on this week - the 'heat and serve - don't get on my nerves' type meals.......

So what are yall cooking???

Dressing
Mac & Cheese
Cornbread
Pies
Other Veggies

I'll be kicked back sipping on my broth and water...dreaming of my improving health.

I'm going nuts  right now thinking about all that good eating I'll be missing out on. I think I'm going to take a hit of liquid vicodin before I get there. I'll be too drowsy to care and hopefully I will sleep through the entire dinner.

It's cold out so I made a big pot of Chili.... One of my favorite dishes.

That sounds soooo good. Do you make it with turkey or ground beef? Since your surgery, did you have to modify your recipe?

hey!  I don't know about Tanya - but I ONLY make ground turkey chili - I started cooking AFTER WLS - didn't really cook before....

Over the years - I have modified and updated my recipe - but not my much - I use the Wick Fowler's 2 alarm chili kit - PERFECT every time!!!

Is this a Texas thang? I've never heard of it. I'll search this out next time I go to the grocery store.

Nope - not a texas thing - Walmart carries them - look in the section where they have the other seasoning packets for like gravy, meatloaf and that kinda stuff - that's where it is - it's a red box.......

Pre-op I would make it with turkey and sometimes ground beef, I'm only 3weeks post op so i am going to do turkey today, dont know if my system can tolerate the beef. 


ETA: only thing I modified was my spices i use to season the meat. everything else stays the same, onion, tomatoes, beans, chili mix, etc...

I'm making a big ass Salad with baked chicken that's it for today.. I bought 2 big bags of salad mix...Cutting up some cukes, carrots and tomatoes  and cheese to add to it.. Hopeing this will last at least 2 days..
