Married Couples, single people can chime in too...

What  are your thoughts of married couples hanging out with single couples? Also, when the married couple is at least 7 years or older than the single couples? I hope this makes sense!!! LOL The single couples are exclusive and maybe the potential of getting married but there have been no rings brought to the table....

 What is the difference?
...if they all get along, and are just hanging out...i dont understand the purpose or intent of this question...

The majority of our friends (hubby's and my own) are single.  Never has been an issue.  Our friendships are based on our connection and not our status...whether that be single, white, gay, straight, fat, or skiny.. It holds no bearing.

I am sorry I did not specify more information. The question evolved from "old school" married couples telling people that you shouldn't hang out with single people because there is a different dynamic between being married and single. I hope that answers your question.

Okay, thanks for clarifying, cause I thought you were talking about swinging couples or something.

I see NOTHING wrong with hanging out with younger couples, older couples, singles, married, widowed, separated - what's the real issue?

Just hang out and have a great time - and *****ally cares about the individual couples' exclusivity...that's their business...

I have heard that before but because I am so young the majority of my husband and my friends are single. I really do not let their situation interfere with my marriage.  We all talk and laugh about alot of things but they no how serious I am when it comes to my marriage and they do not cross the line by getting in my business.  They do what they want and we do what we want.

I've heard that before too. Hubby and I are both fairly young so most of our friends are single. My couple friends don't live in our state. We always hang with our single friends and have not had a problem. Trust and honesty are key for a successful marriage anyway. If the couple possesses these things then most problems would not occur.
