Anyone going to the Inaguration?

Just curious. Is there anyone planning to attend? I know it is very historic and sooooo many people want to go. Heck I made reservations at a hotel the day after he won.. Got a good deal and planned on taking anyone who wanted and who could fit in the room..

Well low and behold, the hotel called and told me they had to give up my room. Can they do that? Anywoo, I can't imagine where all them peoples (brown folks, lightskinned folks, pink folks) is going to STAND.... LOL

Anyway, I was just wondering. I guess I will see more on TV anyway, but I am taking the day off from work...

Was your room paid for? If so, you may have cause to be totally peeved. If just a reservation, they are well within their rights, I beleive, to give up your room.

Me, I toyed with the idea of going for about 2.3 seconds. Then thought, "Hell, no. Going to be waaaaaaay too many people out there." Most of us going will be way too far back to see nothing more than a dot or two.

I'll be watching from the best seat in the house...my living room. :)

No, it wasn't paid for, just reserved, but I never knew they could do that. I just didn't sweat it when they told me....

I figured, oh well, I'll still take the day off and watch it from home....

You are right, that is the best seat in the house....

That is so true! I am sure your weather is just as bad as it is here in Boston. I just want to go to sleep... Haven't done much but been on BAF... SAD but true....

Other than that, I am waiting for Friday. I am actually going to NY for the day on Saturday, Brooklyn to be exact. I am going to a Gospel concert at some church...

I was just thinking, maybe this is one of those posts I should delete huh? NOT getting many replies.....

D, I don't even know the name of the church, but I will find out. It's a quartet concert, so I KNOW we'll be there all night.... It starts at 4:30 but some of my favorite groups are going to be there...

I did give it some thought. But like D said there is going to be way too many people there. I do plan on taking the day off with friends to have our own inaguration party.
