Thanks Dimple Donna and DeDee.

How have your doctors restricted the use of otc pain meds since your GB (i.e. do you have to stay away from certain brands, take in limited quantities)?  I get cramps like a mutha with my cycle and pop pills like crazy.

Thanks for this message, DeDee.  Right now Im already thinking of switching my PCP to someone who has experience with gastric bypass patients.  I think they will be better equiped to catch some of the ailments that can arise after the surgery.

No NSAIDs without the permission of your GB doctor....I was early out when my surgeon and then OBGYN allowed me to take BEXTRA....

You can take Tylenol products, but that is like vitamins for SEVERE cramps....so talk with your surgeon....have his nurse work with your OBGYN nurse to find a regimen for you.

Hello I'm a lucker but I just had to comment on this I  too have been thru almost as much as you have with female problems and my WLS Dr  was on top of things what tipped him off was my anemia that was very bad before the surgery and post op it only got worse.  My 1st GYN had me go thru all of these procedures (Ablation-burning off the lining of the uterus, Uterine Fibroid Embolization-going thru the femoral artery to close off the blood supply to my fibroids which where to many to count) and after all of this I was told I would not have a menstrual cycle anymore and would go thru menopause, didn't happen either time still keep have problems had to repeat pap smears 2-3x a year but my male Dr did not want to  do anything just keep insisting that I needed to keep my uterus because I was given it for a reason so to make a long story short  changed to a female Dr who said on the first visit I needed a hysterectomy and had stage 4 precancerous  cells ( stage 5 is cancer)  I still have to have a pap smear yearly for the next 5 years just to make sure I remain cancer free, I was told ovaries where good but could go back and just 3 weeks ago had to go thru surgery again because I had a torqued ovary ( large abscess which was causing ovary to fall over a become twisted) but  Dr would not remove ovary because I had not been thru menopause.  The thing we go thru as women
