New Procedure: Mill and Magenstrasse

I have been having all sorts of struggles finding a surgon and getting this done.  Today I heard from the latest in a growing line of programs I have looked into and tried to get going.  They are meeting all my needs up until they tell me they do the vertical sleeve but it isn't covered by my insurance but a procedure called the Mill and Magenstrasse is covered.  They said it's similar to the sleeve.  Has anyone heard anything about this procedure?  I am doing my own research but thought I would check it out here and see if there was any more personalized information.
Thank you guys!

My surgeon does the Mill and Magenstrasse but I'm in Connecticut.. not sure where you are located.  I had heard also that it is similar to the sleeve as well but I don't know much about it.

From what I can deduct from quick readings, it is an older name used to describe the VSG.  I would contact a surgeon that performs the VSG to inquire if there are any differences in the procedures.

Well, the doctor who told me about it does do it so I don't have to find someone to do it, I just have never heard about it so... thankfully he offered me an option that he can do instead of sending me on a hunt around the state (California).  I, too, have gotten the idea that it is almost exactly the same as the sleeve (none have said it's just an older name for the VSG even though it might be).  I'm 1/2 way excited because I MIGHT actually be getting this done in the next month or two... after over about 18 months of trying and failing.
