I will be spending the day in San Francisco City Hall as I do on every Gay or Civil Rights event. The purpose of my being there is to make the gay absence impact. To bring attention to my community and the changes that needs to be made.
I will not be going to any stores, I won't be buying gas, I won't go into any establishment. I will become completely invisible today at school and at work.
My voice however, will be heard because I am forcing it to be, My civil activity began in the 80's and it will continue today. I will continue to fight this fight until full Civil Rights are attained.
I will not read hate mail today so don't bother
Day Without A Gay seeks to shift our strong feelings about injustice toward service! Let's fight for equality by out-loving those who would deny us rights. Call in "gay" on December 10th (International Human Rights Day) and volunteer for your local LGBT and/or human rights organizations.
NO ONE IS ASKING SOMEONE TO LOSE THEIR JOB, THERE ARE OTHER WAYS TO FIGHT FOR THE CAUSE.
