I think the organizer(s) of this one need to re-think this thing a little bit more. In my opinion, part of the "strength in numbers" that LBGT people have is that they are able to blend into the crowd , unlike a person of color, religion , etc... But once y'all start standing up to be counted... Excuse me... Calling in sick (and risk becoming recognized for it) you tend to diminish your ability to make folks respect you out your "projected" numbers.
Thank you... Thank you...

No one is telling people to call in to their job and say i'm out today because I am gay. You can be as deiscrete or as open as you want to about it.
It reaches a point where you have to stop blending in with the crowd. It's not like this is National Coming Out day like we did in the 80's it is to bring attention to the world that without us mofo's this world would be a lot different. So while no one is asking or requiring anyone to come out, we are asking that they flex their power in their choice to take off a day if they can. It is not REQUIRED.
By stepping out you don't diminish your ability to make folks respect you or your projected numbers, You are stepping up and demanding to be respected. Which is what is needed.
