I have a sister that pushes me over the edge I swear it takes a lot of praying to get around her ass.. If I see her coming anywhere I make a sharp rt... I call her every blue moon, because I feel I have too, but she is a pain in the ass...I just can't please her.. I finally threw in the towel on her ass the best way that we get along is to avoid each other..Everyone in my family avoid her miserable ass.

My moms is a baptized, dedicated Jehovah's Witness....~you will see me type my special lil clique, it's lots of us on BAF LOL~ and she is my SHERO!
I never as a child celebrated anything but the Passover.....and my life was easier then LOL ~money is a biotch~
Moms is different.....her thing was....as YOUTHS, she was responsible for her children; she ensured she instilled the knowledge of Jehovah God and His son Jesus in all of us....but once we were of AGE....it was time to work for yourself. Moma gotta worry about Momma now ~that is just how she is~ I thank her for so many things....making me value my body....teaching me morals....teaching me to read.....guidance....you know, she is awesome.
I still don't get into the holidays much either....but my mom and I are really GREAT friends and mother and daughter....she still PREACHES to me....she sends me my magazines and I still go to the HALL.....
With that said, I don't think a person's religion makes them the way they are in whole....your mom ways may come from how she was raised....my mom is BOSSY as all out....but she was the PROVIDER of 8 children, 4 grandchildren, and now she is raising a 7 year old grand she got out of foster care....so she is BOSSY, but that is one of the reasons I love her.....she is on point! LOL
I don't think anyone is entitled to get along with anyone, but I do believe in boundaries and respect. I will tell moms anything she does that I disagree with (concerning my kids) but in a respectful manner. But we have that kind of relationship.

that's so good you have a great relasonship with your mom I would love to have that, but I don't my mom is the type that use's jehovah religion and puts her own twist on it and then tries to make you beelive it. I SO have nuttin against that religion it taught me a lot and made me the person I am today, well-rounded and adaptable wherever I go! However I am hurting over the situation and there is no talking to her she is stubborn and her way is right all the time. There are many things in my life I cannot change and I know that, however she is missing out on HER grandkids, and she has not been there for me for major things in my life
1. birth of my daughter(came the next day)
throughtout the whole preg. she told me I am not helping you with anything, (jehovah does not approve) mind u I was 23 and was out of her house had my own place.
2. my first baby shower(Told me the "brothers" told her she could not come)
3. bith of second son(biological mom was there) she was not
4. gastic bypass(did not visit me at all) I was in the hospital for 3 days, granted she came in from florida, but that was 1 day before I had my surgury, she claimed she was tired tired 4 ....3 days come on what if I had died and u never got to see me.
Deede it's so many other things I try not to HARP on but it hurts and it's not fair. I feel like composeing a letter to her that way I don't hafta talk to her becasue it will only result in an argument!
