You know to some pink people, we're all monolithic.  We all speak alike, act alike, can play basketball, love chit'lins, etc.

Just ignore it, roll your eyes (as usual) and keep it moving, like i know ur doing anyway.  lol
OMG - next you'll be telling me that what I hear about black men is not true.
yeah, sorry, Chelle, to burst ur bubble.

We aren't all hung like freakishly huge stallions.   Some are bigger.

Some can last for an eternity.

Me?  For 2.3 seconds, I'm a raging tiger.  Growlllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!

I wonder why it is so HARD for me to concentrate on work when I check on my BAF family?  Must be those raging images planted in my brain!

Dee I totally feel you on this.  I have a girl that I eat lunch with sometimes that is walking around here with a weave that looks like a matted mop on her head and it is blonde and black, I want to say something to her, but I don't want to offend her.  She is kind of "ghetto proper" and I hear folks talk about her head and I want to tell her but don't know how.  I may try to say it in a joking way today....like girl your hair gettin kinda fuzzy, when you gonna take it down....i don't know.....it just isn't becoming.  Our job is kind of lax, business casual as well, but it just looks a mess.....

Gurrrrrrrrrl, when I worked for IBM, there were only 4 of "us" in that office.  One sister used to come in, clothes wrinkled, hair jacked up, and not smelling too fresh with a gold toof too!  Me and another well-groomed sister took her to lunch and told her about herself.  She wanted to go with me to customer sites, etc, so she could learn and get promoted.  I told her flat out that until she got it together, I wouldn't let her go anywhere with me.  She was a little upset, a few tears shed, but she kinda stepped it up.  I prayed a long time before deciding on the lunch thing.  It helped that it wasn't just me that noticed it.  Pink people were asking me "what's up with Vicki?"  I told them that they should ask her if they really wanted to know, or to help....

Huh?  We prolly would've done the lunch meeting even if she hadn't asked me for some creative mentoring...  Oh well
