What Would You Do?

I am really appealing to those of you that have loss their weight and are maintaining but I gladly accept comments and advice of all.

I am 55 and have lost 90 lbs in a little over a year.  I am wearing sizes 12's and 14's.  However I weigh 190 pounds.  My face, legs, butt, arms and bust have slimmed down.  My 12 pack is still here.  I would just like to get a six pack without having a sunken face or lose anymore in the other places.  I initially wanted to weigh about 150 or 160.  My family believes it will make me look older.  Older looking is not part of my weightloss plan.  So now I'm thinking towards losing another ten pounds to get into the Century Club and give myself leverage.  I plan to just work on my abs which is my main concern right now.
Please give me your advice and opinions.  The NP of course told me it was up to me.  Like I didn't already know.  Additionally, I am a little afraid to believe my family since they did not want me to have the surgery.  Intentionally lie to me, no I don't think my friends and family would do that they would. But understand, they do not.
Please feel free to be frank and keep it real.  Thanking all of you in advance, Z

Well I am not an expert in this subject so take my .02 with a grain of salt. If you want your stomach flat you will have to lose more weight. You can do all the crunches you want but you'll still just have a 6 pack under a layer of fat.

Plus I've heard surgeons suggest losing a few extra pounds in case you need a lil bounce back room.

But it all depends on your goal. Personally I would not be satisfied in a 12 or 14, thats still obese/overweight depepnding on your height. My goal is an 8. But again, that's just me.

Congratulations on all the weight you've lost so far, and I wish you al the best onyour future endeavor!

Do whatever it takes to be happy with YOU!!!!  I would say go all out on the exercise and training if you have not done so - you will be surprised what weight training can do - if after all that it's still a problem - get yo nip tuck on!!!!  Forget the family!  the FAMILY don't live in your skin!!!

55 is WAY to late to give a flyin **** about what family or anybody else thinks!!!!

JMHO.......

I don't just have issues, I have subscriptions!  I'm saving on the newsstand price.......

personally, I would loose every friggin ounce I could.

As far as the abs, like Shani said, you won't have any until  you loose all the extra weight, so any work won't show.  Unfortunately we can't spot reduce

As far as what everybody else thinks...this would be me----->>>>>

Why even bother with surgery if you're going to micromanage and manipulate what  your body is meant to do?

It is never too late to be what you might have been
