I'm a Mess addict. I've been clean for about 13 years now.  When i started mess, it was for attention and to divert attention away from me, depending on what was going on.  Sometimes I still get the urge to start mess, but I will call up my sponsor and she would talk me out of it.  At times when I wasn't being messy, I started doing other things like Hating and Gossiping, but I found that I was addicted to that as well.

Well now I'm Mess, Gossip, and Hate free. Well I do hate on fans on 31 NFL team fans.

Since then I've become a sponsor to other Messheads on message boards around the country. I soon to open a Mess Detox center for current Messheads.

Men do gossip worse than women!!!! LMAO

I wish I could say that isn't true but SOME of us are always in somebody else business. Gossiping isn't bad to me it is when you start the HATING and DRY SNITCHING that errrrrks me.

Bottom line is that many people will mature chronologically, but not emotiionally or socially.  Becuase of that, they tend to thrive on silliness. 

In terms of cliques, you are going to have them wherever there is a gathering of people..be it an online group, an office or even a church.  Its nothing more that a group of ppl who happen to vibe more by themselves than they do with the rest of the group at large.  Not necessarily a bad thing or a good thing..it just is. 

 

That's true. Everyone has their core set of people that they "click" with. Where I have a problem is when that clique use other people as their source of amusement and/or the butt of their jokes. Then I think that its just plain ol mean and for a lack of a better term messy.

You've a point there, Andrea.  But, that goes towards the emotional and social immaturity I talked about before.  You have people who have their own issues, be it physical, emotional, spiritual, whatever, and it makes them feel better to make someone else feel like crap. 

Some would call it scapegoating...others call it projection.  In school, its called "bullying".
