Post WLS Newbies: Watcha Eating?

I'm one week out from gastric bypass and in the full liquid stage of my doctors' eating plan. I've managed to lose nearly 15 pounds, but I've grown tired of protein drinks, chicken broth, cottage cheese, and jello.
I'd like some more variety. Watcha eating?

Liquids suck! Since ou eat cottage cheese can you have yogurt? I lived off greek yogurt with reduced sugar straw jam. Yummy.

When do you get to the next stage?

Sure, yogurt  is on the list (no sugar added). I'm heading to the store later today.  What's Greek yogurt?

I have 7 more days  before the puree stage yum yum! It's funny what you look forward to once you've been denied food. I was so greatful to be able to drink water the day after my surgery... and  chicken broth never tasted better.  Unfortunately, I was only able to consume a small amount.

Greek yogurt is the bomb! Get the plain kind and add whatver sf mix in you want. 1/2 a cup packs in 13g of protien! It's def more expensive than regular yogurt, cause its so condensed. I love it.

OK 7 more days!!!

Okay, this is gonna sound stupid, but what type of sugar free mix are you referring to?

Not stupid! Like whatever you wanna add to it to make it taste good to you. I like the straw jam, but you can add any of those sf syrups, a lil sf puding mix or whatever you like.

Everything is going really well. I'm eating mostly anything I want now and the weight is falling off. It's great. So far I've just been excersising on the treadmill, but in a couple of weeks I will step up to light weights.

I'd suggest mashed potatoes (not too thick, thin them out with chicken broth), tomato soup, veg soup (blended), Egg Drop Soup, runny oatmeal and grits, SF Pudding,  SF Popsicles, Low fat, unsweetened yogurt, SF Sherbert and SF Italian Ice, Unsweeted applesauce.
Life is not about making it through the storm....but learning how to dance in the rain.

Adding to shopping list: mashed potatoes, grits, sf sherbet.   Thanks, they sound great!
