WTF? Help me out, BAF
I certainly would not return them and if I were the giver of those fine pots I would be so hurt and offended that you returned them if you did. For me when I give gifts I do so from the heart and it would be like a personal rejection to have gift returned.
Working on me - want to be better in everyway not just physically!!! Its a process no time to judge or be judged!!!!

I'd do exactly what you just said>>>>>
My broke behind would love to take the pots back and get a less expensive set....say, around $99.99 and pocket the other $600.00.
***get your money back and do some "real" shopping..................like "more for your money"

Cookie, I know this is a hard pill for YOU to take. For one you had no business going to find out how much anyone paid for the pots. Heck they could have just regifted something that someone gave them or that they won in a contest. Second, just accept the gift as it was given from their heart, and was something that you wanted..Be Thankful!!!! Dang..
It is better to be motivated by the souls hunger rather than the egos greed.
Send them a very gracious thank you note and bask in this very generous and thoughtful gesture. Obviously they believe you deserve to have something nice and of good quality.
Cookie, I have 3 Calphalon pans and they are my very favorites to cook in. Williams Sonoma had a sale and I got 2 for $60 a few weeks ago. I'm planning to slowly add to my collection. I use very little oil in the frying pans and the heat distribution is awesome.
If you keep those pans, you'll never have to buy another set of cookware.
