I had been complaining to my family that I wanted a new set of pots since I haven't had a new set since I got married (thanks, ShaySings ).

Lo and behold, a package arrives on Saturday and I have a brand new set of Calphalon pots.

Yes!

I decided to take a trip to the local Bed, Bath, and Beyond to see how generous my family has been to me.  $699.99 freakin dollars!  for a set of pots!!!!

WTF????

Who spends $700 on a set of pots except Rachel Ray, Martha Stewart, or Emeril wannabees??

I love to cook, but dayum!

My broke behind would love to take the pots back and get a less expensive set....say, around $99.99 and pocket the other $600.00.

What would you do?

Here's my problem...my kids have big mouths.  I can not let my mama n nem know that I made the exchange.  They would be highly offended.

Imma figure something out.

I'd tell them....Mamma those pots are too expensive. I am going to take them back and get two sets that are less expensive but will work for me....I will send you all the remaining money....they will say "keep the money."

I focus not on my disabilty; my focus is on my ABILITIES.

Hi Cookie,

Take them back and get two less expensive sets and use the remaining money to buy whatever else in you've been wanting from BB&B.
