Liquid Diet From Hell

I started on Friday and feel like ****...I hate it and not because I want food but because of how I feel...I have been eating/drinking the slimfast (low card), SF Jello, SF Popsicles & Water...The good news is that I lost 5.6 lbs...I have never felt like this in my life...I even asked the nurse that if I had the urge to have something is there anything that will do and she said NO...Please help me get through this...Any advice?

Not really too much good advice when it comes the liquid diet, it was dreadful for me too, only differrence is i had to do it only for 1day. But your surgery is next week or soon right?

Now I can deal with 1 day but for 7 more...I do not think that I can hang...I am worried...If I can have like a small salad or lean protein and veggies I would be okay...But I feel lightheaded and tired...I am thinking about calling out from work...Yes it is that deep...I do not know how people can do a strict liquid diet for longer than 2-3 days.

awwwww  sweetie i didnt know it was like that. Maybe you should call your doctor in the morning to see if you can have a light sald or some veggies. You never know he may say yes, I dont think he wants you sick. I know they like you to lose weight first to shrink the liver, but since you have already lost 5 1/2 lbs maybe he'll ok it...

Thanks. I am going to call in the morning..I can only drink no more than 4 of those drinks and that is less than 700 calories and only about 70-80 grams of protein.

Thank you soooo much...I am going to try...3 days down so far and 7 to go.

Prior to my surgery I did the liquid diet thing for a little over a month and a half and I had to leave anybody's house who's wife was cooking dinner at the time I was over.  The smell alone would drive me nuts.  By the time I got done with the liquid diet I had met my doctor's requirements for surgery but believe it or not I didn't really feel like having any solid food because I had gotten so used to not having any.  Weird huh?

Only thing I can say is that it WILL get better and please, please, please don't cheat.  I had to do a TWO week clear liquid diet and trust me I know the feeling.  But trust and believe it is WELL worth it!  Think about the road ahead and how good it is going to be!
