Cadillac Records !!!

My bestfriend and I went to see Cadillac Records last night and it was really good. I'm not a big Beyonce' fan but I must say she did a very good Etta James and she looked just like here. It was good to watch a movie on the history of music and were It all started.  I highly recommend you go out and spend the 9.50 at the movies instead of making it a bootleg night  LOL.

I saw it yesterday and thought it was a good movie and also thought it was nice to learn about the history of Cadillac Records.  I too am not that big on Beyonce', but thought she did a good job playing Etta.  Its definitely one I'll be buying when the DVD comes out in the stores...not the bootleg version (haha).

I'd definitely recommend folks seeing it...the movie is good.

Havent seen the movie yet....but I may have to based on your advice. 

Plus, everytime I hear  At Last on the radio.....I have to stop and just listen. 

She blows the mess outta that song in my opinion.

it didnt do good at all in box office I think it came in 9th place like 3.5 million that is horrible! I am going to see it this weekend honey had to work sat and sun and he got the $$$$

Yes i know i hadnt been to the movies in years as well so you can believe i was just as shocked! I wasnt even crowded and i can bet it was because of house expensive it is to go see a movie....

Went to see it today!   I am a hugh ETTA JAMES fan....................so it was a little touchy for me to watch Beyonce play her.  She did a good job...........but ETTA was a little plumper even back in the day...........the waist was just wayyyy tooo tiny (for the part)  her voice was outstanding though.............but I was even more impressed with the guy who played Muddy Waters................didn't know much about Muddy..........but I felt like I knew him from the movie......................I really enjoyed the movie.....but if there's a sountrack I won't buy it ..................I have to hear the real "Etta" sing her songs.......................Mos Def (is that his name) that played Chuck Berry.....outstanding.........I will be getting the DVD.  Loved the movie!

PP I love that song  I know Beyonce will tear it up I'm going  to see it tonight .

I may go check this movie out on my off day on Monday...too much going on this weekend with work.

In the meantime, Cedric the Entertainer was on Tom Joyner's show yesterday and they mentioned that the movie was only available on a little over 800 movie screens - NATIONWIDE! (Same situation with Tyler Perry's movies in the beginning). 

I hear Beyonce's performance is very good - possible Academy Award nomination.
