I was thinking the same thing!  They did not age well AT ALL.  I never knew their dad was white either.  I can't believe all that was going on!!!  It was so funny to look back at all that video cause at 11 I was all in, but looking back as a grown woman they looked sweeeeeeeet.

I love, love, love DVR.  It has revolutionized couchpotatohood.  I actually prefer to record shows like that and zip through commercials, that way in the hour it would take to watch one, you can basically watch almost two.  TIME MANAGEMENT!

I absolutely LOVE Donnie Hathaway.  I was damn near obsessed with researching and learning everything that I could about him while in my 2nd year of college.  He was such a talented and tortured man.   I have so much of his music and even 3 records (yes, vinyl *lol*).  Love, love, love Donnie!

I'm still not convinced that he committed suicide though, but that's just my opinion based on things that I've read and researched over the years.

I've DVR'ed the episodes with The Clark Sisters.  Haven't caught the DeBarge or Phyllis Hyman episodes yet.

Just as an aside - has anyone else's "info/preview pane" on their cable been stating the incorrect episode information?  I was trying to tape them all, but the description that Verizon (or maybe TV One) gave for each episode was incorrect.  The preview said it was DeBarge and when I went to watch, it was The Clark Sisters.  Then the one that described The Clark Sisters was really Donny Hathway.  **sigh**  So, now I'm trying to catch Phyllis Hyman and DeBarge.

I am loving this show.  I have only seen the Debarge Family and Phyllis Hyman.  Most of things that were told on the Debarge Family I knew because my nosey self did research one day and found out they weren't puerto ricans.   Poor Phyllis Hyman so much talent and deep down in so much despair.

You have to watch it MM.  Don't want to give it away, like a good movie.  You have to see it for yourself and you will be shocked by some of things you learn on the Debarge one.

I caught the DeBarge episode.  It was sad that ALL of them abused drugs.  That is proof that they had major abuse growing up.  It upset me when Bunny said that they figured out when they were young that Mama couldn't be trusted.  Mama Debarge was trying to protect herself first and let the kids get abused.   I thought it was funny that Babyface called them Ghetto.

I only saw part of the Clark Sisters last night.  Maybe they will run a marathon and I can catch them all at one time.

Phyllis Hyman was one of my favorites and still is.  Her greatest hits CD is on my computer desk at home.  My favorite song is I Refuse To Be Lonely.

The Clark Sisters episode was absolutely inspiring!
