It is not all about weight..........
Well - weights are definately part of it - but the trick is getting a whole balanced routine down - which is why my azz needs to get to a personal trainer QUICK!!! I know the pieces of a good routine, but really need to put them all together!

I'm just curious...how does the scale measure body fat I know they use the back of your arm to squeeze the skin/fat and measure it that way so.....how does the scale do it? OH and how in the hell can the back of the arm measurement be accurate for those of us who have SO MUCH DAMN EXTRA SKIN on our arms left over from WLS
I'm meeting with a personal trainer on Tuesday and NOT looking forward to learning my body fat percentage HOWEVER, I know you're right...it's really important to know...I just know mine is NOT going to be purdy
I'm full of questions I know...be patient with me I'm still learning

I feel you on this question about the scale - it's an FDA approved method that uses sonic pulses to measure the fat in the body through the bare foot! Technology is a mofo!!! LOL

I agree MM! I thankfully have 29% body fat not great but it is in line with my weight and the BMI. I DO need to do more strength training and I ralize that I may gain a few lbs hwoever my body fat percentage will decrease. I'm asking all family and friends for money for a PT for Christmas to help combat that.
^5 to you for getting a personal trainer! I had one for 1 solid year post op - the best investment I ever made!!!
Need to get back to that......

James use to preach it constantly. It eats up your muscles like crazy. If you want the whole scientific break down then refer to the guru. Doing it for extended periods of times breaks down too much muscle and i'm busy working to build muscle. So while I will drop my carbs to a certain percentage, I never go really low cause it's not worth the muscle loss to me.
Not to mention as soon as you get off, you eat carbs like a dam carb monster and gain it all back in fat, fat, fat. and fast as heck. So to me it's not worth it anymore unless I need to be really thin really fast to see someone I need to impress, but my clothes are so big you can't tell how fat I am anyway.
