Hi, I too understand what you are going through because I have my niece that I am raising and have had her for 6 years.

However, I am not sure what it's like where you live, but the state is suppose to help you.  That's what welfare is for.  As a foster parent for your nieces and nephews, you are suppose to get aid per child.  You are also eligible for WIC, food stamps, etc.  So I would suggest that you do a little more research, but you do NOT have to do this alone.  The whole point of kinship foster program is to help the state so that they don't have to find a place for the children. 

I am praying for you but know that there is a way to get help.  Let me know how things turn out.

I called my mom and she said in Alabama (you have to check this for Maryland), a blow-up mattress will suffice until you get a bed....they will give you the kids, but grant an extension for you to get the proper bedding. However, for th 7month old, you will need a crib.

If they don't allow that---can you rent the bunkbeds from rent-a-center for a hot minute? ~just a thought~

rental bed.  I am going to look into that.  That could work.  Now I know WHY I came to my EXTRA FAMILY for help.  Air Mattress will not work,  I asked.

Thank you all for your input.  I understand that I do not post to the board and many newbies dont know me.  But,  I do not have it in my heart to SCAM anyone with a story like this.  I am looking to help these children, because they can't help themselves.

DD, Thanks for standing  up for your OLD SCHOOL BAFF'ER'.  lol lol

I am going to shoot MzD and email, and pray that she has some things to help. 

Listed below are things that will help with the inpsection and in the days to come:

Twin sheets
crib sheets
formula
kid toys
food items
anything related to kids ranging from 7 months to 4 1/2. As my children are 15 and 9 years old,  I forget what is needed.

Money for purchase is good,  but with the SCAMS,  I perfer the items.
