My Dinner date last night......

Ok...so me and this guy has been communicating for about 1 month now, he had been asking me out to dinner, I have been dragging my feet coz, I am seeing someone else, but since he is a fellow techie (software engineer) we had a lot in common, also he has his own contract and wanted to know if I was interested in some of his projects, he had not seen me since May (when I was at my lowest weight), remember I just had MAJOR surgery about 5 weeks ago for a hernia that was obstructing my bowel and I GAINED about 12 pounds almost over night, I was able to lose 2 pounds but I still think it is water weight from all the IV fluids, and to top all that off my band is almost empty and I have NO restriction so I can eat normally.

So we met up at the Cheese Cake factory and we talk tech stuff and eat dinner and when we leave the restaurant he tells me "boy you have gotten kinda big there" (in a jokingly way) and then he touches my tummy and says wow...I then told him why are you commenting on my weight? I just had major surgery for a hernia and my tummy is still a bit extended and as a result I have a temporary weight gain, I told him I will lose it, but I have to take it easy until I heal completely....and then he tells me (jokingly) well when you lose that extra weight call me

I am like what??  first of all, he calls ME, and ask ME out, and I have someone else I am seeing, I just went out with him because he had been bugging the hell out of me, and he does not want to see unless I am bone thin.....UGGGGGGGGGG....

Then he sees my car, oh I see you have a nice 5 series BMW and then after he tells me I am FAT...lol he wants me to give him a hug and kiss good night and give him a ride to his car...I just gave him that look and I got into my car and told him see ya.....

He did pay for dinner, and we had a nice night, talking tech stuff, but until he told me that I had gotten BIG...all hell broke lose....my lap band is pretty much empty right now, so I can eat normally I am waiting on a fill next week...I did not tell him about my surgery when he told me I was fat...but I am still wearing MOST size 10s dresses right now and since I am swollen my  12 pants are a bit tight...but gee even at my current size I did not realize I was BIG......I guess I am going into hibernation until I get to a size 4


I am so mad this morning I posted his pic......now my self esteem ha**** rock bottom and I will probably be off the boards for awhile...until I feel better....

Edited to add: I promised I was not going to talk about any dates any more, but this date just pissed me off so much especially when I did not want to go out with him in the first place...ARRGG....

Have you looked in the mirror today? Do you know that you are beautiful? Do you know that there are over a thousand pre-op's wanting to be where you are, and about a hundrd post-op's admiring your success because they have admiration for your status and want to be where you are, have what you have?

Forget what he said, because in MY opinion, he's surely not all that !
