Does anyone have the name of a good counselor? I need one while I try to save up my 20% co-pay for surgery. I am approved for the RNY, but I have to pay out of pocket for the band removal. All of this has to be paid before surgery... $6000+.
While I save, I am getting deeper into a depression and I need to talk to someone that won't tell me that if I eat the right foods and exercise, then I will lose weight. I need someone to listen, to help.

Dr. Juarez did my gastric bypass at St. Luke's Hospital. I loved the fact the entire floor only had weightloss patients and the medical staff worked on that floor only. The best of the best. The hospital is very safe and you could always have security walk you and your nurse as you are leaving to your car which will pick you up at the door. All hospitals have police officers present during evening hours so try not to let that bother you... best of luck.
Renee B. Who did you use in Mexico if you don't mind me asking? I have started checking into surgery there but I'm meeting with lots of resistance from my family. thank you for responding to my post concerning UHC.

I have United Healthcare and there is an exclusion for Weight Loss Surgery in my employers policy. I've called a few times and have gotten conflicting answers about the exclusions. First I was told it would be looked at according to each case then I was told an exclusion is just that and will not be covered. Does anyone have any information about getting around an exclusion?
