Hubby wants to start a veggie garden... Is it too late in the season to plant anything now? I think we may just work on preparing our garden, and plant a winter one in September.... but I was just wondering if we could sneak anything in for summer.

To late for seeds, but you can buy big Tomatoe & Pepper plants, just shade them and water them alot. Christi (Purple Lady) 5-30-06 RNY Dr. Burpee

i grow okra from seed every year...it is not to late. Squash, cucs and okra...watermelon...other melons will all do fine now....I am cutting back on the garden....I got a $300 water bill last summer for just one month. Mexico has cheap veggies. I get them at a organic market cheaper than my water bill was last year. I will plant my okra....like 10 x 14 bed of it. No one sells it in the stores here....so i give it away. I love okra. sandy in Tucson I save the seeds year to year on my okra.....
