How long to wait before going in the pool?

Hi, I already spoke with my surgeon about going in the pool - no swimming yet as I am only 3 weeks post-op, but he did say I could go in the pool and "lounge". I was just wondering if anyone else went into the pool right away and how it was. Thanks,

Oh! I forgot that we werent suppose to swim. I went to the beach last week and went swimming. I got out right away because they had real big knock-me-down waves and I got thrown to the ocean floor. I was real tired after that. I have pillow fights with my daughter and we have leg wrestling. I tireout real fast too! I also have a12'x30' pool in my back yard and went around in that for awhile and notice that I got tired too. I guess thats because I wasnt suppose to xoxoxox Rosie
