Crab & Sweet Corn Chowder!
Have you had any of Safeway's signature soups? I was so sick of Campbell's creamed soups so I got a container of Safeway's Signature Soup "Cravin' Crab & Sweet Corn Chowder". I strained it and warmed it up and oh my it's so good. Granted it's LOADED with fat (33g for 1 cup), but I only had about 1/4 cup. I might have another 1/4 cup in an hour or two . I love their soups!!
Trisha another good soup is olive gardens Zuppa toscana. I would strain the potatoes and the sausage and the flavor was wonderful. I would also ask the chinese restaurant for Wonton soup broth and that was so much better than any canned broth. Thank you for the email. I will be on the Arizona site more often. Thanks
I won't lecture you too much since you already noted that the soup isn't very healthy for you. I know that just having a little something you enjoy in those first months is soooo important. But remember, you're working on a lifelong plan right now and it's time to start looking at the calorie content of everything you eat and ruling a lot of stuff out because of it. I, personally, have tried to make it a rule of thumb to avoid anything that's more than 250 calories or less than 10 grams of protein in a serving. Of course, you should create whatever rules are most suitable to you, but be sure and create some. It's about changing lifestyle in the long run and training yourself into new and better habits takes a couple of months to do and is best done as you're beginning your new relationship with food. But it does get easier and you'll be glad you did in the long run. Don't let me guilt you out of enjoying your crab soup. But do take it easy on that kind of stuff.
On a seperate note, thanks for taking on the project of getting more people back to this board. It looks like it's starting to hop already! Good job, Trisha! - Stephanie
