Cold Medications?

Anyone know what kind of meds you can take for a cold/sore throat?

Any of the tylenol products are okay. Also the robitussin products. You just want to make sure that there is no aspirin, NSAIDS, etc in the product that you choose. Sandra

Also be careful of sugar content on the products too.

Be careful of Robitussin because Dr. Maxwell said in Class "A" last month (St. Luke's) that someone once did a "reverse bank robbery". A post-op patient took some robitussin syrup and then went to bank, got to teller and handed her deposit slip and money but then had to run out because she started dumping. I am used to dayquil and nyquil. In fact, I have a cold right now. Anyone post-op take dayquil or nyquil? Tylenol never seems to work on me, but looks like Tylenol will be my life post-op. I don't know. Glad someone posted this thread.
