Does anyone else have 'discoleration'?

I have an odd 'discoloration' under one of my ports (I hade laproscopic RNY) - It is the one port nearest the abandoned part of my stomach. Anyway, I showed it to the surgeon at my last appt, and he wasn't 'worried' but I am - in my support group, nobody else had this. Anybody else out there have large discolored area?(lookes like an old bruise, but my surgery was 5 months ago!)

Hi Helen, I don't have any discoloration on any of my incisions. However, I did have a bruise on my leg once that took nearly a year to go away. I asked my dermatologist about it and she said depending on the area the bruise is and the amount of trauma to the area that caused the bruising, some bruises can take a really long time to go away. It eventually did go away, and I hope yours does too! Best regards, Shannon

I wouldn't worry if the doctor isn't worried. It probably is just a bad bruise that is taking a while to heal.
