Hi I'm also new to this site but it has already been helpful. I had my WLS on 11-24-03, I did well overall, but I continue to have this low belly pain. My entire abdomen below my bellybutton hurts. It is a combination of cramps, gas pains, constipation (No, I'm not having difficulty there) and just misery, it's hard to describe. At first I was afraid I was having some complication, but it gets better for a few hours or days then it's back, never worsening. I can't relate it to eating anything or find any rhyme or reason to it. I talked to a nurse at my doctor's office with no help. The pain isn't excruiating, or surgical type pain, it's more crampy I guess. It makes me just want to lay down and veg out. Am I just wierd, or have other people had similar pains? Please reply, Becky

Is there any chance it could be unrelated to your surgery, perhaps a gyno issue? I sometimes get a crampy/gassy lower ab pain, but it doesn't last long and certainly doesn't happen every day. LAP RnY 11/10/03
