Aetna appeal

Aetna, denied my claim the first time out so i have now submitted a appeal. what is so frustrating is trying to deal with the person who approves or declines coverage. you cannot talk to them directly it has to be via fax or threw the Doctors office only! The customer service dept was great but you can never talk to the person handling your claim directly.

I am just starting off in this process and also have Aetna. Are you an HMO or PPO?? My biggest concern with Aetna is that I have no doctor supervised diets. I am still going to go ahead with the process, I have psych evulations scheduled, seminar scheduled and a consult. So I guess I will just have to wait and see. I was just curious why you were denied?
