Approved!!

I just got a call from the insurance department at BTC. My insurance company (GreatWest, OneHealth) approved my surgery. The patient rep said it will be about 2-3 weeks before a can schedule my surg. date. She said they have to do a reverification of benifits and have the Dr rev my records and make sure he doesn't want any more testing done. I can't wait until I have a date , I have to find out about time off work. How far inadvance do you think I should tell my work? Can anyone who has gone thru GreatWest or BTC tell me what to expect from this point on?

WOW, congrats, I knew as soon as I saw "APPROVED", that SURELY you didn't have CIG-HELL...err, I mean CIGNA!! LOL heheheh! I would tell your employer asap. Give them plenty of warning/heads-up. (I have cigna, so I can't tell you what to expect, you lucky dog, you!!) Again, best wishes though!!!
