More hysteria

Okay... gotta vent more hysteria. So, I'm waiting for my CPAP machine. Turns out that if you pay your CIGNA COBRA payment via B of A's Bill Pay system, they do take it immediately out of your account, but it doesn't get to CIGNA COBRA for days and days. As a reuslt, when Gentiva Company called CIGNA to get authoriation for the CPAP, they were told that my coverage ended on 7/31/03. That means that when Becky submits my insurance stuff, it is also going to get bounced back because, apparently, it can be weeks before COBRA transmits the posted payment back to CIGNA's main office. Oh, and why did they have to call CIGNA for the approval? Because my apnea index was 9.5. CIGNA requires a 10 for them to issue a device without authorization. Why the blazes didn't the doctor just round it up? Aaaarrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
