is there any support groups in Tucson

we will be in Tucson for a couple of months and would love to attend a support group  so if there are any in the Tucson area let me know....

there are lots of groups in tucson.  For rny I would suggest tuswls they have a yahoo group I'd suggest that you subscribe to that to see when the meetings are I think it's the first monday of the month and the 3rd or 4th tuesday.  also st joes has 2 meetings a month; a saturday and a tues night.  search for carondelet surgical weight loss and you should be able to see when they are. good luck.

wanted to thank both of you for the info and hopefully will be able to meet you two some time soon....

Dr. Blackstone Support Group in Tucson is the 1st Saturday of the month to be held at Sherton on Grant Road from 10:00-11:30.  The is for SBC patients only.

St. Joseph's is the last Saturday of the month at St. Joseph's Auditorium from 10:00-12:00 open to everyone.

Tucson NOAG is Last Thursday of the Month at 7:00 at UMC Rm. 5408, open to all.  

---- NorthWest meeting 7-8:30 PM each 3rd Monday of the month at the Northwest Medical Center Classrooms A-D 6200 N LaCholla Blvd. Classrooms are off the main lobby behind the cafeteria. New attendees in classroom D at 6:30 PM.
---- Eastside meeting 7-8:30 PM on the first Tuesday of each month at Evangelical Covenant Church, 551 N. Camino Seco, between Broadway and Speedway, on the West side of the street. As always new attendees will be at 6:30.

i not sure which one of these will be a better fit for me....im RNY 3 years post op  will be staying with daughter  she live on old spanish trail across from the national park.... is that on the east side???

Yes that is on the east side and not far from me.

great Becky it will be great to meet you when we get there ....it will probably be around christmas day or the day before ...and we will probably stay till the end of Febuary.  when we get there i will get on the board and let you know ok?
I am having my left knee totaly replaced on November 3rd and my daughter is a nurse and an exercise fanitic i have ask her to help me get the knee working well. again.
you can read my profile and find out a lot about me if you want to. what you see and read is what you get. lol
I write a post daily on the Mo. board  and also up untill the last couple of months was a group support leader ...i am trying to get someone else trained to take that over. . talk to you later. hope to meet some of you ladies this winter.
