Hi all-

I had my surgery on the the 11th of Aug. and about to hit the 6 week mark.  So far I have lost 45lbs from my pre-surgery weight.

Does anyone have any tips for when I start eating "normal" foods?

Congrats on the weight loss!!!!  Wooooo HOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!  So fun!

Outline a healthy menu now so you're ready with the right foods when your 6 wk****s.  Have healthy foods on hand.  Keep a food journal so you know the reactions your body has to certain foods and so you'll know whether you want to "table" certain things for a while.

Try high protein recipes that are a "eat this/ not that" version of old faves.

Check out eggface's recipes.  Hers are tried and true....also Susan Maria on BariatricEating.com

Use Dr. Schlesinger's mantra of :  KISS  (Keep it Simple "sweetheart"!  LOL!)

Go to support groups so you can get ideas from others!

Good luck!  Keep us posted!!!
