I finally got my lab work done and my thyroid is out of whack again so we are increasing the dosage.  My iron is finally back on track after the plastics.  Vitamin D is a bit low.  So things aren't looking too bad.   All I have left is bone density and boob smashing!!!!!  Lab work again in two months and see Dr. Gitt for follow up on 12 Jan.

Becky-
make sure it is actually your Thyroid hormone and not that the labs are abnormal due to Calcium deficiency. an abnormal PTH (parathyroid hormone)level can be indicitive of low Calcium, and unless you have a physician that specializes in bariatrics, they might diagnose it as thyroid insufficency versus calcium deficiency, especially if your Vitamin D level is also abnormal.

Just something to discuss with the physician.

I have been on Thyroid medication since I was a teen.  However, my PCP was going to send a copy to Dr. Juarez for his review.  I am also going to ask for a copy of the results.

Merry Christmas

Becky,
I think it is great that your PCP will have Dr. Juarez review your labs just to make sure nothing "bariatric" is involved.
Take Care and Merry Christmas...
