Hello everyone

Hello there. I figured since I have become a member of OH I had better start introducing myself to everyone. I am AZsheltiemom aka Lois and I live in Yuma. I am a public safety dispatcher (911). I recently started doing research on bariatric surgeries after seeing two co-workers have successful procedures and outstanding results. I have attended one seminar and I think I have found a surgeon that I can talk with and have a good "working" relationship with. My biggest obstacle now is my portion of the bills! I am hoping to be able to schedule my surgery for next July or possibly August 2009 (unless by some miracle I win the lottery). Until then I hope to meet new friends, gain more information on what to expect and how to avoid complications.

Welcome Lois. If you have any questions, be sure to ask. There is a wealth of information here and we're always willing to share. I hope you find a support group in your area. It's another important aspect of the surger before and after. It's a wonderful journey you're starting and I know that I am so glad I went on the journey to health.
