Anyone Know - Pouch Size 10 1/2 Months Out

Hello All,
Quick questions, without doing the cottage cheese test, how much food is normal for my pouch at 10 1/2 months?  I'm really curious because I drink a lot of liquid and I'm hoping I don't drink it too fast and stretch my pouch.

One more, if someone is craving a bit of alcohol, one time, what would someone drink without dumping??  I would love a glass of white wine and won't drink it because it's etched in my mind that it is bad for me.

My weight is stalled at 15 pounds from my goal.

Regards,
Candy

Oh gosh....I love the wine and beer in Germany.

Thanks for the information it's good to know.  I don't miss the coke because I wasn't a real coke drinker like before surgery....but I do drink a whole lot of iced tea.

There's days that I can eat 4 bites & I'm full and then there's other days where I can eat a 6" Subway sub with no problem.  I do portion control when I eat though (except for Subway).  I usually eat 3 oz of meat with a couple of forkfuls of potato and 1/2 cup vegies.  I guess I hold about 6 - 8 oz but I don't worry about it since I count the calories & fat instead.  When I'm full, I get the hiccups and I don't take another bite.

I am so glad that I logged on again. I have been getting the hiccups for months after I get done with meals and was wondering if it was just me. I don't mind them cause they usually mean that I am done. I can eat about 6-8 ounces of food, but there again some times it is a couple of bites and that is all I need. Now I really pick what I eat so that I get the best for me down there first.

I know after 5 years post op RNY that there are times I can eat 4-6 oz and be OK and then times I only take a few bites and can't get another one down.  It just depends on what I am eating and how heavy it is.  I am able to eat fish in a larger quantity than a denser protein like beef or pork. Most of the time it is trying for me to consume 1 whole egg and then on occasion I can eat two.  I don't know why, you just have to listen to your pouch and hear what it is telling you.

When it comes to alcohol, I can drink white wine, normally a PG which is dryer than a Chardonnay.  I have been known to mix my own drinks at bars.  I bring my crystal light packages in my purse (the single serving ones) and ask for a tall glass of water and then usually a shot of flavored vodka or rum.  It is a "frilly" type drink that is not as concentrated as wine, does not have the fermentation bubbles of beer, does not utilize Diet Coke which seems to be everyone's favorite diet drink that purveyors stock.  Remember though, according to all clinical guidelines, you should not drink alcoholic beverages until 1 year post op, and then you need to be very careful.  Addiction transfer is very common with WLS so watch your consumption.
Hope this info helps!

I guess I am not as innocent as I look.  It's all in fun, so no dancing on the ceiling for me.  I am not staying the night in Mesa, so will have to drive home to North Phoenix. Where did you find the Oceanspray singles?  That would be another awesome "purse" item.
