Regarding your questions on the band, you may want to post it to the lap band forum. I am sure many more people will respond. I am having RNY so I know very little about the band.

I can tell you that the new AP bands (APS-10cc & APL-14cc) just started being used shortly before the time you were banded. I was banded on 9/4/07 and I was one of the first in my doctor's practice to get an AP band. You probably have the older band simply because your doc hadn't moved to the new platform yet.
