Introduction
Strengthening your abdominal mucsles will help you when you are moving and getting in and out of bed, as we make sure that all of our patients ambulate every hour after admitted to the floor from the PACU. Ambulation (walking) is the number one opportuntiy for your path to success regarding healing. I tell my patient's they need to know their A,B,C's....ambulation, breathing and coughing! These are the three items that will help bring you the success immediately post-op for the the first 2 weeks of recovery.

I pinned on some "nads" and decided to keep reading... but now I have more questions.
Does Dr. S do the VSG?
I looked at his page here and it sais he does but there are no reviews or comments about it.
From what I have read it sounds like the lesser of two evils.
Good luck with the decision making

Hey there,
Just thought I'd clarify. Lori is with the Bariatrics of Paradise Valley Hospital. She doesn't represent either Dr. Simon or Dr. Schlesinger (who are NOT in practice together) per say but is more about taking care of ANY bariatric patient who comes through her hospital doors!!!! (thanks Lori!!!)....Since both Dr. Simon and Dr. Schlesinger have privileges at P.V. then Lori will assist both of their programs with facility needs, etc. .......To answer your questions about procedures with Dr. Schlesinger or any insurance questions regarding him.....please call his Bariatric Coordinator: Jen Bradshaw. 480.419.2280. She's a lapbander at goal and is packed with oodles of energy in her teeny tiny body...just waiting to do all she can to get people to the O.R. table to jumpstart their life!!! .... Good luck with your journey!!! May the fat fly and the energy emerge!!! ......O.K.... that was lame but I was trying to come up with something new .......> How bout.....LOSER'S ROCK!!!! Hope to C U @ one of Doc Schlesinger's support groups

Thanks for the clarification. Since working with both practices, I attempt to meet the needs of the in-patient patient as the hospital based program nurse coordinator for the bariatric service line, and to assist both practices as requested. Please let me know if I can assist with anything else, or if there are any other questions.
